Just upgraded to 2.55, and in testing found that I am getting different scores between versions. Has the scoring changed for rules? Can I get some background on why, and thought process? Thanks.

New scores were generated in 2.50, and they were re-evolved again for 2.54... So if you were upgrading from something prior to 2.54, you'd see a massive change in the scoreset.

The original ruleset for 2.50 had several strong negative scoring rules that spammers started abusing, so a new GA run was done with those rules forced low.

Since SA's rule scores are evolved, and not assigned by humans, they change to match what the current trends in real-world spam and nonspam are at the time a new GA run is done. This causes dramatic differences in results... In the case of the 2.54 re-evolve they did not retest against a new spam set, but about 6 rules were removed from the set. The removal of a few rules alone will cause most of the scores to change, since the whole balance of the ruleset is different.
