Spamassassin developers also include a spec file in the tarball so you
can also build rpms on your redhat system from the spamassassin tarball
by doing this

rpmbuild -tb Mail-SpamAssassin-2.60.tar.gz

it will build rpms and put them in 


/usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386/
