MS changes where they hide the headers with every version....Try opening the message to a new window, then looking for "Properties" (could be under file, edit, or view). After you open the message properties, you will need to click on the various tabs (changes from version to version) and you may eventually find the headers. I much prefer non-ms programs for email clients, they are more straight forward, and do not move options from one section to another just because they changed versions.

Yes, sadly, I do use an Outlook client, but the list headers don't appear in
the view|options headers, either.  So it must be getting stripped off
somewhere between the list server and my email server, or is an additional
feature of Outlook 2002.
