Hi

I am running Exim 4.2 on one box with SpamAssassin 2.63 on another. Both
boxes run net bsd.

I used to have a remote box, then brought spam assassin back onto my one
server for another reason and now I setup a new box with spamassassin, ma
she's no work.

In my exim configure I have
spamd_address = 10.0.0.2 783

and on my spam-filter box I run spamassassin like this

/usr/pkg/bin/perl -T -w /usr/pkg/bin/spamd -m 20 -A 10.0.0.1

(.2 being my spam box and .1 being my exim box)

I thought this is how it was setup last time, but when I turn the
spamassassin back on my panic log has these errors:

2004-02-18 15:27:53 1AtYFU-0001tK-9x spam acl condition: spamd connection
to 10.0.0.2, port 783 failed: Connection refused

Is there anything else I need to setup? I read that if localhost is
still on the list of acceptable hosts it will not allow remote
connections...is this true? If so, I thought spcifyuing a host would turn
localhost off.

ANy suggestions?

Thanks
Frank
