Ive setup a RH Linux 8.0 box with SpamAssassin, MIMEDefang and Clam AV to serve as a mail filter ahead of our Exchange server. I used the MIMEDefan How-To written by Mickey Hill and managed to get everything installed without too much trouble.
The RH box is receiving mail and relaying it to the Exchange server, but it doesn't appear that SA is doing anything. Email that is obvious spam is not tagged or otherwise altered in any way. Where do I start troubleshooting this? Are there any logs to review or simple tests that I can run? I've made sure that the sendmail.mc has an INPUT_MAIL_FILTER(`mimedefang', `S=unix:/var/spool/MIMEDefang............) line. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Ken Morley
