Is this a restriction of the Compuserve 2000 IMAP account?  How does mail
get in there from other places?  The "Recover from spam" button does two
things: it trains the message and it moves it back to where it originally
came from.  If messages cannot be added to that folder, then there is no way
to fix it, because one of the actions is simple not possible.  Are there any
folders that you can add mail to?

Training is done before moving, so probably yes.  To be sure, check the
counts of trained mail in the SpamBayes Manager dialog, before and after
attempting.
