If the "Enable SpamBayes" box (General tab of the SpamBayes Manager) is
ticked, then all folders selected in the 'watched folders' list (Filtering
tab of the SpamBayes Manager) will be filtered when Outlook is running.

I'm not sure I understand this - filtering and training are quite separate.
To filter, follow the steps above.  If you want to train, then the best
method is to just use the "Delete As Spam" and "Recover from Spam" buttons.
