I was advised to downgrade to version 1.0.4 (or use the CVS version) when I reported DBRunRecoveryError's. The thread was earlier this month. ([Spambayes] Are you looking for people to test the DBRecovery issue?)
I do not know what a TLS connection is, so I have no suggestions for your server connection problem.
