Your website said it is not compatible
with Outlook express.
aha! The Outlook Addin/Plugin, which places pretty buttons in
outlook, does not work with Outlook Express. However, the downloads I
indicated also include the SpamBayes POP3 Proxy server. POP3 is the way
most email clients get their mail from the server. If you want more
information about POP3, you can see here, but it's a little
technical:
Anyway,
SpamBayes can sit "in between" outlook express and the mail server and filter
your email before it gets to Outlook Express at all. This is the option
suited not just for Outlook Express, but any mail client, such as Thunderbird
or the Bat or Eudora or Netscape Messenger or Foxmail or anything that uses
POP3. Please try it out and let me know if you have any
trouble.
The Outlook addin is an application of the
SpamBayes project. To our knowledge, the current version of the plug-in should
work with Windows 98 and above and Outlook 2000 or above. You may be able to
get the plug-in to work with Windows 95 if you install the most recent version
of Internet Explorer possible, but we are not certain about this. It
does not work with Outlook Express
Please advise.

Subject: RE: [Spambayes] Spam program
for Outlook Express 6
Looking for a program to run on
Microsoft Outlook Express 6. Do you have any that works with this program?
Thank you
You can download the latest version of SpamBayes
here:
If you have any trouble, try this one instead -- it's a little
older but may be more stable.
