Random "drags" can wreak a lot of havoc in Outlook. Maybe she's managed to push the Spambayes toolbar out of the visible part of the window. I guess that's consistent with the fact that reinstalling doesn't help. Presumably the second installation would simply overwrite the previous toolbar in place. If the old one wasn't visible, the new one wouldn't be either.

Don't laugh; I've seen stranger things in my 45 years in this game!

It isn't there. Tried that. I can't figure out where it went. Though it was the suggestion in the trouble shooting guide when have probmlems to delete it, I figured when I reinstalled it would reappear. Man what a mess I've made.

Ah. If you select Tools > Customize... from the Outlook menu, then select the Toolbars tab, SpamBayes should be among the listed toolbars. Make sure it's checked.

I can't get to the spambayes manager. There is nothing on my tool bar and that is the main problem.

In following the suggestions from the troubleshooting guide I lost that particular function.

When I go to programs the only thing I have under spam bayes is the About Spambayes and the Troubleshooting guide, so I can't get to anything else. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a couple times now and still nothing.

Someone else may have an idea what's going on, but I don't. The log file may help. According to the troubleshooting guide, the simplest way to get it is as follows:

Open the SpamBayes Manager dialog (from the SpamBayes toolbar).
Click the Advanced tab.
Click the Diagnostics button.
Click the View log button.

Once the log is displayed, you can select its contents (Edit > Select All on the menu, or Ctrl+A), copy it to the clipboard (Edit > Copy on the menu, or Ctrl+C), and then paste it into another message (Edit > Paste or Ctrl+V).

I have Windows XP

I'm not sure anymore what version of SpamBayes I'm running

I have no idea where to get my logs. I look and find nothing.

I've gone through the trouble shooting guide, and can't find the answer I'm looking for.

I'm not a programmer or a computer savvy person.

What Happened:

I downloaded my email this morning and my Spam Bayes was not working. When I clicked on the delete as spam it told me to drag the files. I thought after a few drags it would kick in. I restarted the computer and that didn't help. I tried a few things in the trouble shooting guide and the tool bar info disappeared. The wizard never showed up again for me.

I then uninstalled and reinstalled from the website, but the wizard never showed up. Please help me. This address gets so much spam that without the filter I'm lost.
