You don't indicate what mail client you use on your Mac. If you use
Mail.app, it already comes with a spam filtering capability that I believe
uses techniques similar to SpamBayes. I don't use Mail.app on my Mac, but
use SpamBayes nonetheless. There is no binary installer, so you'll have to
download the source distribution and install it, however you can integrate
it with other mail programs in a number of ways. I use the sb_bnfilter
program (part of SpamBayes) run by procmail (part of the Mac's software
suite), then use the SB results to segregate the mail by spaminess. My mail
reader then reads mail from the various mailboxes.
