I downloaded and installed the pre-release windows executable of 1.1.a4 several
days ago. After a bit of struggling to figure out how to configure it to use
SSL I thought I had it working. It seemed to work Ok for a couple of days. But
then this evening I had 5 emails in my inbox. 2 were small (4 or 5 k each) and
two were a little bigger and contained some graphics. SpamBayes downloaded the
first 2 in the inbox then refused to download the other 3. I tried several
times and it seemed to try but then hang up someplace and timeout. I thought it
was something in one of the emails but when I configured Thunderbird to bypass
SpamBayes and go directly they downloaded fine. I didn't see anything odd about
any of them. When I turned on logging I got a 256K file the last time I tried
showing one of the messages being downloaded over and over. I then reverted to
my old setup using SpamBayes 1.0.4 and Stunnel. Will try it for a few more days.
