Good evening, Joan, It sounds like you are using Outlook as your email client. With my version of Outlook, the safe senders list is an Outlook function and not a Spambayes function. When you add a person to the safe senders list, that tells Outlook the sender is safe. That does not tell Spambayes anything. Only when you "Recover" an email are you telling Spambayes this is a good email. Keep doing the Recover and Spambayes will learn.
