Unless I misunderstand what you're asking, SpamBayes has nothing to do with
how mail is received in your setup.  That's Outlook's job.  If you were
using the POP3 proxy things would/might be different.

I was aware that the POP3 proxy was unable to deal with SSL connections and different port.

I was wondering if the Outlook plugin had the same issues...
