Stefano, Have you read the user's guide or the "read me first" document? They explain the Address Book vs. Gmail compatibility modes. It sounds like you'd prefer the Gmail compatibility mode. If so, turn contact syncing off, then on, and this time select "preserve gmail compatibility".
