Peter Suber ----------cut here---------- Leaders from research libraries, foundations, and a variety of cultural institutions gathered in a workshop at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study on October 1-2 in order to discuss how to work together toward the creation of a Digital Public Library of America—that is, an open, distributed network of comprehensive online resources that would draw on the nation’s living heritage from libraries, universities, archives, and museums in order to educate, inform, and empower everyone in the current and future generations.
