In honor of Open Access Week (18-24 October 2010) I would like to share
with you the Access to Health Information blog, which highlights the
latest open-access research focused on the prevention of non-communicable
and infectious diseases. The blog's goal is to realize the vision of
universal access to relevant, reliable and up-to-date information on
health and help meet the information needs of health care providers.

All articles highlighted by the blog are available online and open access,
distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License,
which permits unrestricted use, distribution and reproduction in any
medium, provided the original author and source are credited. All these

journals. Some of these journals are available through open access
publishers such as BioMed Central or Public Library of Science. Other
leading journals such as BMJ, JAMA or the New England Journal of Medicine
often will provide selected articles open access.
