The ShareGeo team are pleased to announce that their new Depositor plug-in
has just been released. This plug-in makes uploading spatial data to
ShareGeo Open from ArcGIS easy. Simply download the plug-in by clicking the
link below and follow the install instructions. Then all you have to do is
to select the spatial data in ArcCatalog and click the plug-in. The plug-in
will grab all the relevant files for you and extract metadata from your
data. All that’s left to do is add a couple of pieces of information about
what the data is and how it was made, then press the big publish button.
The data will then be published on ShareGeo Open. Easy. To download the
ShareGeo Open Depositor tool, click the link below:

ShareGeo Open is a data repository for Open data. There are lots of useful
spatial datasets that have been deposited by users for others to download
and re-use. This create – share – reuse philosophy is central to ShareGeo
Open. If you have spatial data that you think others may find useful, or if
just want to browse the datasets held in ShareGeo Open, click the link below
to visit the site.
