Hi all,

Here is a quick update about SWORD, and the SWORD v2 project in case you are
interested:

- SWORD now has a wikipedia entry!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SWORD_(Protocol) If you have a few spare
minutes, please have a read of this, and if you can, then edit / add /
improve / correct / expand the content. The page is quite bare right now,
so new content would be great.

- The SWORD Technical Advisory Panel: In order to help ensure the new
version 2 of the SWORD repository deposit standard develops in a way that
meets the needs of its user community, a technical advisory panel has been
formed. This will help us to ensure that it exhibits best-practice in the
area of Internet standards, that developers are able to work with it, and
that it tries to be generic enough to allow interoperability with other
types of systems whilst maintaining its focus on repository resource
deposit. New members welcome!

- SWORD and the Open Journal Systems: The SWORD blog contains an interview
with Alec Smecher, the lead developer of the PKP Open Journals System
(OJS). It talks about how OJS uses SWORD, and possible future uses.
