[Forwarding from Patrick McCann, via the JISC-Repositories list. --Peter Suber.]
All, We're conducting a pilot study of the LIFE tool and model ( http://www.life.ac.uk) to assess its suitability in the context of HEI repositories, and need some more participants. We'd like volunteers to spend 2-3 hours reviewing the LIFE tool and provide feedback (via a form to be provided). There would be £350 pounds available to those undertaking this activity. Further, we would like some participants to keep an activity journal for a week (based on the UKRDS responsibilities model). There would be £500 available to those participants, who should need to spend a maximum of 30 minutes per day on the journal. We'll be producing a report assessing the effectiveness and applicability of the LIFE tool for institutional repositories, with recommendations for future developments of the tool. There's more information at http://www.dcc.ac.uk/news/testing-life-tool and http://www.dcc.ac.uk/projects/life. Volunteers would need to complete their work before the end of the month. As such, we'll accept expressions of interest along with name, role and institution until Tuesday 19 July at midday and then notify successful candidates by the following day.
