List - I would like to get 32bpp in X on my SPARCbook 3gx. I've done some research, but I'm hoping for a push in the right direction.
I understand from http://www.openbsd.org/sparc.html: "Weitek Power9100 (pnozz<http://www.openbsd.org/cgi-bin/man.cgi?arch=sparc&sektion=4&query=pnozz>) - found in Tadpole SPARCbook 3GS, 3GX, 3TX and 3XP (8, 16 or 32-bit color, accelerated)" I've read from another source that this device has 2MB, though I haven't actually verified that on my own hardware, and I'm not sure how at this point. After configuring xorg to use the wsfb device, X worked. Unfortunately I'm away from that sparcbook for a couple of days in another city and could not bring it, so i don't have every detail to support what I'm about to ask. I should be able to provide enough: wsconsctl tells me it is at 8bpp. (don't have the specific output with me), and that this is a *read only* atrribute(if that is the right word) How do I need to go about telling wscons to configure pnozz to be 32bpp? thanks, Justin
