I have a Sparc Station 1 with frame buffer card, but i don't have a sun monitor attached to it. So i attached a serial terminal. Startup of the machine is ok, i have the prompt and i can type conmmands on the serial terminal. I'm able to boot a debian bootimage via the network, i starts downloading. But when the download is finished it does nothing more. I see no more messages on the serial console. I think that the kernel messages are now sent to the frame buffer card, but as i have no monitor, i don't see anything. Is it possible to install Linux on the SS1 (without removig the frame buffer) via that serial console ? environment settings ? boot parameters ? If someone can help.
