sparclinux, dim display

Hey, anyway to boost the display settings in the prom, or someother place
?
Sparclinux, I'm using rh 5.2, is VERY dim on both crts I've tried.
At the point of being unusable.
However, the SunOS is very workable, though, SunOS is black on white, vs
white on black of sparclinux.
Anyway to set balck on white in sparclinux ?
