Now that I have my Ultra10 up and running with X and Debian I am trying
to get the CS4231 generating tones. :) So I nabbed 2.2.9 and got it
to build and boot. I am guessing that it found the sound chipset
given this dmesg entry...

audio0: cs4231a(eb2) at fffff9fff1200000 irq 13,7e3

and the fact that I have been able to get the speaker to crackle
using sox/play. However, I cannot seem to get anything besides
pretty gross noise. Do I need a certain library version (OSS) to get
this working correctly? Is there a good definitive test(s) I can
perform to make sure that the driver is working correctly?

        Thanks,
        Chris
