Hello Tom,
Have you asked the xvscan people if xvscan ran on SparcLinux?
xvscan supports most HP scanners and it also comes with full source since
it's based on xv. Also, it runs on Linux and also on Solaris so I guess it
might be worth the try under SparcLinux. I'd test it but I don't have
access to my machines right now.. xvscan should be at www.tummy.com
(that's from memory) and it's quite great.
