Now that I've got my Sparc 20 working well, I'm starting to look
around for things to do with it and resources to explore. I can't
seem to find a few basic things, and I'm wondering where you folks are
getting your information. I've checked out ultralinux and sunhelp, btw.
I can't find information on what version of XFree86 RedHat uses for its
Sparc distribution - what frame buffers are supported, etc. I couldn't
find a copy of netscape for sparclinux (all the binaries out there for
linux programs are for Intel and Alpha linux). I can't find an updated
copy of Gnome for sparclinux - the redhat one doesn't work right (KDE
does) and I don't want to download the 40 or so packages needed to
compile Gnome.
On a related note, why does a message sent to this mailing list seem to
take forever to get out to people?
If there's no central web page or FTP space for Sparclinux programs or
resources, I'd probably work on creating one...
