I haven't upgraded the OS any sparclinux boxes yet, but based on my
experiece with upgrading intel based boxes over the years, the good
points are:
* you won't need to restore all your /home/* from your backups
* /etc/* content which redhat is aware will need to change is
copied to /etc/[filename].rpm{save,update} with any local hacks
to reintegrate left as an excersise for the upgrader
the bad points are:
* anything redhat is not aware of is left lying around cluttering
up your file system
* uh, that's about it
