I installed Debian slink from NFS and later ftp. (Two step process.)
I had some problems, but they were bootserver-related. (Real pain.)
It all went fine (almost) after I got these sorted out.
Boot from the tftp debian rescue image, follow the instructions,
make sure you have the 10 megabyte base system on nfs and you
should basically be up and running.
You need two NFS exports, one with the base system, one with
the clean partition (or directory) you want to install debian to.

I still remember how I did it. :-)

(BTW, Debian is a relief compared to SuSE, but thats because
