I'm trying to install redhat 6.0 onto a sparcstation IPX and, after the appearence of a normal boot from floppy with boot32.img, the machine locks up right after starting on the ramdisk.img floppy. Usually the screen gets screwed up before things grind to a halt, but sometimes a kernal error prints out and some numbers are dumped to the screen. I used the same boot floppies to install onto a sparstation 10 a few months ago and didn't have any problems. Also, I tried the boot.img and ramdisk.img floppies for redhat 5.1 and got similar kernal errors and lockup after insertion of the ramdisk floppy. Any ideas how to get this install unstalled?
