I know that this IDPROM chip has to be good. Here is my problem, I had
an IPC that I had Redhat linux loaded on and then I picked up a Sparc1
that I wanted to get working. I was getting IDPROM errors when trying
to do anything with the Sparc1 so I pulled the IDPROM chip (the one with
the yellow UPC sticker on it) out and tried it in the Sparc1. Being
unsuccessful at that attempt I pulled it out and put it back in the
IPC. Now when the IPC boots I get an error that says "IDPROM contents
invalid." It still see the ethernet address and hostid but I cant get
it to boot or boot to the redhat CD to reinstall linux.

I have the FAQ on the NVRAM stuff from SUN but it is not helping a whole
lot. Hopefully one of you can help.

Thanks,
Jeremy
