Hi,
Been away from the SPARC/Linux fold for a long time, but now I'm
back. I've got an SS2 that I want to use at home as a firewall -
the cable modem gets installed tomorrow ;-) I had a sunqe card
laying around, so I thought I'd use that for the extra ethernet
port rather than an esp+lance card.
Whenever I try to load the sunqe module I get a dumped into the
PROM monitor. The same thing happens on boot if I compile in the
sunqe driver. The sequence of events is:
QuadEther: AIEEE cannot reset the MACE!
FAULT: NMI received
and then a regs dump and the PROM prompt.
I've tried this with RedHat 6.1 and with a hand-rolled 2.2.13.
I'm just about to try 2.2.14pre13 as I see there are a lot of sparc
MM changes that have gone in.
Any tips much appreciated. A little bit about the machine:
SS2 w/64MB
1 x Seagate 1GB Hawk ST31230N + 1 x Seagate 2GB Barracuda ST32550N
cgthree 1024x768x8 at 76MHz in slot 3
sunqe in slot 1
