I'm running Debian 2.1 on a Sparc 5.
(Linux www.grator.org 2.0.35 #1 Wed Feb 17 20:37:03 CET 1999 sparc unknown)
I shut the machine down and added a second SCSI disk. When I reboot
the machine with two disks it doesn't come up anymore. It stops
in the line that says:
VFS: Mounted root (ext2 filesystem) readonly.
Freeing unused kernel memory: 40k code, 4k data
and then just sits there.
The second disk seems to be detected, as I see detection messages
on the console when the machine is coming up.
When I remove the second disk the machine boots. The disk itselt
is brand new replacement for a broken disk.
BTW, the Linux machine has been running with one disk and I'm
trying to add a second one.
