Hi all, I will be presenting an overview of SPDX and the SPDX legal team to the Computer Programs and New Technology <http://apps.americanbar.org/dch/committee.cfm?com=pt035500> subcommittee of the IP Law section <http://www.americanbar.org/groups/intellectual_property_law.html> of the American Bar Association next Thursday 3/2 at 2pm Eastern (right after our legal call). There are typically 10-20 attorneys on this call, and my aim is to educate them about OSS and SPDX, and potentially to inspire new contributors to the legal team.
I shared some notes <https://docs.google.com/document/d/1gx6beTbh0TJ4l7BtDV3zWCSQb0FMh_K-5iq9C_mzji8/edit?usp=sharing> for this presentation on a legal call a while ago, and got some good feedback from Dennis and Paul, as well as an introduction to Jack. Since then, I have integrated those notes into the handy SPDX overview slide deck available at https://spdx.org/Resources and made a few tweaks of my own. The result is this presentation <https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1z4kQdpCjhMLgFUhWL5_UCK5wv8ztRXPcM_RDE3M5TYk/edit?usp=sharing> for the ABA subcommittee, and I'd like to get your feedback before I give it. That's a clean copy for collecting feedback (though does require a Google account), so please feel free to comment away, or send your notes in email. All feedback is welcome and much appreciated, but please try to send it by Weds. 3/1 so I have time to work it into the deck for Thurs. 3/2. Thanks all, and best wishes, Brad -- Brad Edmondson, *Esq.* 512-673-8782 | brad.edmond...@gmail.com
