Many OpenID providers allow a user to display the activity of their credentials. Is it possible that others may want to more strongly specify what is displayed for this scenario or as usual, leave it optional.
One of the more interesting usage scenarios is when you visit a site such as PIBB and specify an OpenID from Signon.com which allows you to authenticate to them via CardSpace. So at some level, signing on to multiple sites could occur using multiple protocols. Likewise, I would think that for automatic signon, it would be a good thing if the OpenID provider could tell the relying party how long to leave an otherwise idle session open before timing it out. Not sure if this would require an extension or not. -----Original Message----- From: Brett Carter [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, February 15, 2008 10:09 PM To: McGovern, James F (HTSC, IT) Subject: Re: Login Federation I don't think so. The implementation I'm thinking of would allow the user to decide what sites would be logged into automatically. Really, it's just amounting to automatically typing in the user's url on their chosen sites. We could even delegate login requests, preserving the decentralized nature of open id. -Brett On Fri, 15 Feb 2008 12:53 pm, McGovern, James F (HTSC, IT) wrote: > Wouldn't this take the user out of the middle?
