I've had a request that the user be able to order the results of a publishing rule
within the Container Editor. The objective is have a container automatically populated
but also have the option to come along and set the order of appearance on content that
the rule selected. So if the editor did nothing, objects A, B, and C would appear. If
they decided they wanted to promote object C they would want to move it to the top of
the display.
Has anyone implemented this type of function? My thought is that i would have to
create an Ordering rule that displayed the contents of aObjects. The editor would
order those results and that is saved in the Ordering rule. When the rules are
executed the ordering would be applied.
Does this seem possible or am I going about this all wrong?
