As a part of a Spectra project I am in the final rollout stages of, we want to run a
couple of scheduled tasks to update/modify objects on the Spectra server. Trouble is,
we set up the schedule as per the docu/Forta book/etc. (name your resource, we've
looked at it) and it never actually works properly. This is the showstopper on this
project, as everything else works.
I've used the WebTop to establish a syndication stream for the page we want to run
(included at bottom of mail, it updates a weather forecast summary object). It
appears in the Spectra Scheduler and in the CF Server Scheduled tasks list. It even
appears to run, according to the logs. Trouble is, it never actually updates the
object. Any clue as to why this might be the case?
The only way I can get it to run successfully is to call it manually in a browser,
which of course, is an unsatisfactory solution.
Any and all advice you might be able to offer will be appreciated beyond measure.
