Derelict Electronics Workshop in a very poor condition as a result of disuse and neglect
During this two day workshop participants will build crude amplifiers from chalcopyrite, a copper iron sulfide mineral, which mimic the precursor for the modern transistor, one of the fundamental building blocks of today's electronic and digital world. Solar cells built from copper will also be constructed based on a 1904 semi-conductor solar cell, along with other fundamental electronic components. These devices emit audible sound and will be constructed as haphazard sculptural circuits to create derelict instruments mutating sound on their own, screaming in runaway feedback potentially leading to their own destruction.
