Hacklander \ Hatam
Keith Fullerton Whitman is a musician currently based in Cambridge, MA.
Starting in the mid-1990's while working on a "Music Synthesis" Degree
at Boston's Berklee College of Music, Keith began exploring electronic
music's many facets, eventually yielding dozens of full length albums,
singles, remixes, and compilation appearances for influential labels
such as Kranky, Editions Mego, PAN, Planet µ, Carpark, Room40, Amethyst
Sunset, Amish, NNA Tapes, No Fun Productions, Agents of Chaos, Arbor,
Digitalis Limited, Ekhein, Heavy Tapes,Rare Youth, Root Strata, and many
more.
These days his creative energies are largely putinto the continued
development of a truly "Live Electronic Music," incorporating an
ever-changing hardware-based modular system that allows for a complexity
of sound & vision that had previously only been available via
software-solutions. While this work has recently manifested itself as a
pair of albums for Editions Mego entitled "Generators" & "Occlusions,"
it's largely intended for the stage:

Hacklander \ Hatam: drums and laptop duo of Colin Hacklander (Capillary
Action, Hyperion Ensemble Int) & Farahnaz Hatam (Audition Records, NK
Projekt).
Destruction of Self for renewal of self.
Elusive efforts towards a realization of dynamic autonomy in order to
achieve eventual practical implementation of meta-jurisprudence.
(The intelligent always remain uncertain.)
Formed spontaneously in Moscow during New Years 2013, the duo's first
piece was WAR SOUNDS for the Ertz Festival #14 in Bera, Spain. Since
then, the duo has performed alongside Mika Vaino, PRSZR, Dave Phillips &
Mattin; created a commissioned 67-hour long piece for Transmediale
Berlin; performed at the Bucharest Philharmonic alongside Iancu
Dumistrescu & Ana-Maria Avram; and composed a chamber piece for the
Hyperion Ensemble International, which premiered at the 2014 Tectonics
Festival (Tel Aviv) and was later performed by the great Zeitkratzer
ensemble in Berlin. The duo was featured at this year’s transmediale
festival Capture All, performing at Berlin’s HKW.

Duo: Hilary Jeffery & Anthea Caddy
Caddy and Jeffery will play amplified music for the dark focused on long
tones played very quietly to create a sub-liminal void, filling space
with ghost tones. This is a music of suggestion, equally inspired by the
melodic nuances of Giacinto Scelsi, the psycho-acoustic investigations
of Alvin Lucier and the slowed down stoner-doom of Sleep. Microtonal
clusters of highly amplified cello, trombone and sine waves are played
on the thresholds of hearing. A layered and immersive music appears,
exploring the edges of perception, dissolving boundaries. So slow you
can hear the shadows…
