The .else.if exhibition by the Slovenian artist Igor Štromajer premieres an
interactive digital interface that contains ten poems co-written by a human and
a machine.

In 2011, in the project Expunction – Deleting intima.org Net Art Works,
Štromajer ritually deleted some of his net art works from 1996 to 2007. He
deleted one net art project a day from his server, a total of 37 works, so that
the projects are no longer available on the artist's website (intima.org). As
some of these works were also stored on the servers of various cultural
institutions, Štromajer's early net art works have been preserved in the Center
Pompidou in Paris, the Ars Electronica Lab in Linz, the Computer Fine Arts
Gallery in New York and the MNCA Reina Sofía in Madrid and other collections.

The poems exhibited here were created between 2013 and 2018 by semi-automatic
conversion of .jpg and .gif image files from the author's deleted net art works
created between 1996 and 2007. The conversion from images to text uses the
Unicode encoding standard. The author designed the new interactive digital
interface in a vertical format, keeping in mind the personal mobile devices
used by visitors to the Wi-Fi gallery grey) (area.

The exhibition can be accessed through personal mobile devices at Korčula’s St.
Mark's Square. This digital art presentation format is organized by the grey)
