There's been some discussion on this list about that previously. You could set up a mechanism to wrap up syslog messages you're interested in as SNMP traps and send them to Spectrum for alerting. It's probably not a good idea to use Spectrum for long-term syslog archiving due to various limitations (you wouldn't be able to do free-form searching, the number of syslog messages may be very high, the archive manager may not have the capacity to store so many messages, etc).
