Hi All, Ive got another interesting one We recently added handful of Sun T5220 servers running Solaris10. All servers run on SystemEDGE 4.2 Patchlevel 5.
Problem: Few of the Sun T5220 servers for no apparent reason alert with "Memory Utilization of 99% for Memory instance 1 has exceeded the 85% threshold". This goes against data that script is collecting directly on the server checking CPU and Mem Utilization every 5 seconds. Servers run 4 VM instances and 32 GB pool of RAM is shared across all VM zones. At the time when High Mem alarm is triggered Percent of Total Memory Used shows < 30%. We use default 85% for Memory utilization threshold value. Does anyone have similar experience with these phantom alerts? We run Spectrum 8.1 HF08. Any input is appreciated.
