We have a customer who uses the CISCO ONS with Spectrum. It seems that CISCO has rewritten the CERENT MIBs which are use by the Cisco ONS system. CA Spectrum uses the old MIBs and so sometimes some TRAPS have wrong values. We noticed that on a "Loss of Signal" trap from the ONS. The Trap always reported the wrong port number. After some researches we found out that CISCO uses a new CERENT-454-MIB for the device, where the port mapping was rewritten. After a import of the mibs via MIB-Tools and rewriting some Event - files all works fine. A case for fixing this by using the new MIB is open at CA.
