Hi List , I am currrently checking network configuration manager functionality of Spectrum 9.0 and am a newbie on using this .Most of the routers and switches that were discovered in our environment were automatically placed in the CISCO-IOS device family .The Device Communication Configuration Option provides two options 1) SNMP/TFTP and Telnet/FTP
Then there is the Advanced Device family communicatin mode where 5 options are present 1)Capture startup configuration & running configuration and write startuo and upload firmware configuration By default there is the Cisco PIX perl script provided My query is will these scripts also work with the devices in the Cisco IOS family or we need to write custom scripts for each device in the device family (my requirement currently is only for CISCO -IOS family) What would be the communication mode to be selected for this to work and what ports need to be enabled .
