Hi List , I am testing Network configuration manager functionality on Spectrum 9 .Most of the network devices are automatically moved to the CISCO IOS family on discovery .I tested the NCM capture configuration option usin SNMP/TFTP .The config capture works fine on manual capture or scheduled Global sync , but I would like to use the automatic configuration capture feature .The docs say that for automatic capture, traps or polling should work - ============================================ Device Traps
Network Configuration Manager supports the following trap for cisco devices • Cisco: ciscoConfigManEvent 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.43.2 When this trap is received, SPECTRUM generates event 0x00821029. This event then triggers Network Configuration Manager to perform a capture. You can map additional configuration change traps to this event if you want to trigger a capture for other supported devices. Device MIB Objects Network Configuration Manager polls MIB objects through model attributes to determine if anyconfiguration change have occurred. This feature is supported on Cisco and Juniper devices thatsupport the following MIB objects: • CISCO-CONFIG-MAN-MIB: ccmHistoryRunningLastChanged 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.43.1.1.1 ======================================== I checked few devices with version info from the cisco site to confirm if they supported the CISCO-CONFIG-MAN-MIB .It does support this MIB . Also I used a mib browser to check the ccmHistoryRunningLastChanged attribute after the config changes .But there are no changes in this value . Is some configuraion missing from my end to make this work ? Regards, Jack --- To unsubscribe from spectrum, send email to [email protected] with the body: unsubscribe spectrum [email protected]
