Hi Christian, list,

the problem is regular expressions don't work in SAM at all. As
documented this should work in combination with CA NSM agent as this
supports regex (r11) and/or wildcard (v3.1) matching. See DOC#5179
(Spectrum 9.0) for more information. We've same issues with process
monitoring on Novell servers (process name includes version release
date) and Windows filesystems (name includes serial number of the
drive).

Correct me if I'm wrong but this topic (regex in RFS1790 monitoring)
should be on the "MunichList" of the last DACHSUG meeting.

I think we should check this back on the documented list and open many
enhancement request to get it implemented ;-)
