Hi Ales,

Thnx, but is there anywhere after discovery that Spectrum says it was
connected to this before, and this is new connection now (something like
connections change mgmt). I didn't find any event like that.

Nice regards,
ivana

RE: [spectrum] tracking changes in topology change in Spectrum

Ivana,

Have a look to the Reconfiguration options of the IPphone model. There is
an option to define f SS should reconfigure model when interfaces go
up/down.
…more details are in „Modeling your infrastructure….“ Doc. Page95. See
extract bellow.

Automatically Updating Device Interface and Connection Information
You can use the following attributes to configure SPECTRUM to
automatically update interface and connection information about a device.
Automatically Reconfigure Interfaces
SPECTRUM automatically discovers and models device interfaces after the
number of configured interfaces for a device changes if the Automatically
Reconfigure Interfaces attribute is set to Yes. The updated interface
information appears in the Interfaces view for the device.
Discover Connections After Link-Up Events
SPECTRUM automatically discovers and maps a model’s connections one poll
interval after it receives a LINK up trap from a device when the Discover
Connections After Link-Up Events attribute is set to Yes. This delay lets
the device fully reconfigure its related SNMP tables before SPECTRUM reads
them. The Poll Interval setting for the device appears in the Information
view, SPECTRUM Modeling Information subview. See SNMP Communication
Attributes on page 157 for information about the Poll Interval setting.

Subject: [spectrum] tracking changes in topology change in Spectrum

Dear Spectrum list users,

We have a requirement to track changes when ip phone changes it's port.

All ip phones are discovered and in Spectrum connected to appropriate
switches.

Any ideas? So far Spectrum just alarms when phone is disconnected and
clears alarm when phone is connected again to another port. But I cannot
see anywhere that Spectrum says topology is changed (old and new port)

Any help is greatly appreciated.
