Hi,

Run the following test and verify if you receive email.

echo "test" | mail -f "Spectrum" -h <smtp server> -m <domain name> -s
"alarm" -u spectrum <your email address>

Example:

echo "test" | mail -f "Spectrum" -h mail1.TA.com -m ca.com -s "alarm"
-u spectrum [email protected]

Also please verify whether SetScript is modified to :-

             VARFORMAIL=Both

Regards,

Neeraj Raina

Mr doe,

You can turn on email debugging from the oneclick web page under
Administration then debugging then web server Debug page (runtime)
should all be links. You should then see that output in the web server
log once you apply it. I would recommend using simple mail from the
command line to test, I believe the command is 'mail' from a bash -login
on windows on linux I think it uses /bin/mail if its redhat 5, solaris I
am unsure of but its probably somewhere in the manuals.

Hi List ,

I am having problems of sending mails from spectrum to the mail server
.I have done all the required configuration like the email configuration
in the Spectrum administration page and even the tried the mail
/Notifier scripts which I believe are two independent ways of sending
mail .For example if I right click an alarm and send a mail I get an
error saying "Web Server returned error: Accept" .The smtp port is open
.I suspect the mail server might not be accepting/forwarding the mails
but it seems difficult to convince the mail admin. Is there some method
to enable advance logs in spectrum to confirm that the problem lies in
the mail server or any other way.

Regards,
