Sounds pretty slick and intricate. The only way I know to cross that boundary of model attribute and alarm/event attribute or variable is via event procedures. The alarming event comes in, you run a procedure to adjust the event variables to insert the data you want from any attributes available in that event's environment; model attr, event attr, alarm attr etc. If anyone knows another way I would be glad to hear it. Cliff, if you are not familiar with procedures let me know off-list and I will send you some info I have gather on them. Sincerely,

Has anyone successfully found a way to insert internal Spectrum attributes (like the text string from a Notes field) into the Event Format file? Specifically, I want to try to use an internal attribute for aLost Contact alarm, to take advantage of having our Operations contact different support teams, based on an objes location. I use some web-based event format files to let the Operator click on a link in the Event Details tab in OneClick, and Id like to be able to use the internal attribute to help construct the URL in my .asp page to direct users to do different things for different devices (and at different times). For example, we use a tier system for the importance of our sites. Tier one sites need to have immediate notification of the correct support group. Tier two sites may only need someone to be notified if it is between business hours, and Tier three sites may only need an email notification to the support site. Being able to populate an internal attribute like the Notes field with a specific text string (i.e., BRAZILTIER2) would allow me to construct a URL to direct the operations team to the correct support team. Ive been all through the Event Configuration Files guide, as well as tinkered around with my test Spectrum, and for the life of me cant come up with a way to do this. Hopefully, someone has already invented this wheel, and is willing to share!
