Helko
Have you looked at the entity mib info to see if the correct serial
number is shown there? If it is you could use this info to set the
chassis ID (the value read by Spectrum)
Regards
Stephen.

Subject: [spectrum] Spectrum have problems to read the right serial
number from some Cisco-devices

Spectrum have problems to read the right serial number via SNMP from
some Cisco-devices:

e.g.:
The real serial number of a Cisco 2611XM is JHY0842K39A (read from
sticker on
the backside of device; the board is original, was not changed or
repaired), Spectrum is reading FOC08361NNJ.

We know that some tools can calculate the serial number in the view of
other devices-variables, may be exist an algorithm to calculate it.

Examples for device types with this problem:
Cisco 2611XM
Cisco 2610XM
Cisco 2621XM
Cisco 7206VXR

If this a knowing problem in Spectrum and have anyone a solution for
it??
