Hi Neeraj,
First of all: Check your Mail Setup - I found this mail in the SPAM-
Folder with the following reasons why it could be SPAM:
2.3 FORGED_YAHOO_RCVD 'From' yahoo.com does not match 'Received'
headers
2.6 REPTO_QUOTE_YAHOO Yahoo! doesn't do quoting like this
It may be that this mail has been tagged at other users mail systems,
too.
The Answer to your question, though, is pretty simple: When installing
SPECTRUM and wanting to keep the old database you can place a
dbSaveFile.SSdb in $SPECROOT (check the manual for the exact
location). The DB itself is platform independent.
Whether you're installing on Solaris or Linux doesn't really matter in
terms of stability given the following prerequisites:
- You use adequate hardware for your linux server (Solaris machines
ARE very well built)
- You know how to handle Solaris.
Patching a solaris box is a bit more complicated than patching a
redhat system.
Given that you own a reasoably fast server system you may even think
about using something like ESX or XEN (runns very well on XEN).
